Jimmy Zhang grew up swimming for West Vancouver Otters where he won provincial and junior national medals. He now studies criminology and kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. On the SFU varsity team Jimmy became a top 5 all-time performer in backstroke events. At the 2022 NCAA D II Championships Jimmy was a part of the all American 800 free relay. Jimmy also enjoys building 3D puzzles in his spare time.
